Moments. Short but memorable places or faces in time passed-- the very fabric of our lives is comprised of moments. I have always felt that a good photographer doesn’t simply capture a moment, but creates moments to be captured. That is what I do, and I happen to love it.An inborn innate curiosity of all things visual led me into a career in photography. For 10 years I plodded away quite successfully in sales and marketing, but was never really satisfied due to my creativity being stifled in a world of quotas and profit margins. And then one day I decided to take the leap, a leap that turned out to be a wonderfully enlightening journey. . Based in New York City, I was able to work with extremely talented artists and vanguard creative individuals on projects ranging from international advertising campaigns to simple portraits. It became clear to me early on in my photography career that the exciting people and artistic creativity I encountered on a daily basis were what really stimulated me. Being a professional photographer also enabled me to travel the globe several times over, taking me to fascinating and exotic parts of the world I’d only dreamt of exploring.

The events of September 11, 2001 gave us cause to think.  Living in Manhattan that day and the months and years to follow, I had plenty of time to do a lot of reflecting. What kept coming to my mind was family. So it was with little regret and even less fanfare that I left New York City last year, and made my triumphant return home to the city and state where I was
born and reared, Houston, Texas. I find Texas to be an amazing canvas on which to paint.

Moments… glorious moments. There’s nothing I enjoy more. They’re what I live for. Would you like to make one? I’d enjoy nothing more.
